| The THREADS series started with a work around something, that is literally hanging on a nearly invisible thread. THREADS bears the idea of the double meaning of - if pronounced slovenly - THREAD and THREAT. I once noticed almost unexpectedly, that threads in this sense have been running throughout my whole work. They started to link works from very different times and from very different media. Works would then resolve those threads, pile themselves up on each other, insert left-overs, mirror them works within themselves, interweaving anew, and spin threads, on which they would hang. |
